Background: Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Physics invites applications for two lecturer positions in the Department of Physics, beginning in Fall 2023. The Department of Physics has extensive undergraduate teaching duties in the College of Arts and Sciences, as well as in its own programs for Physics Majors and Minors. Duties and Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities are equivalent to a 4-4 teaching load, including courses and laboratories in introductory physics for non-physics majors. We especially encourage applications from candidates from under-represented groups. We also encourage applications from scholars committed to interdisciplinarity (i.e., working with colleagues across different subfields and disciplines).

Minimum Qualifications: The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Physics or a related area, a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and a record of (or clear potential for) undergraduate mentorship. Candidates should be willing to support the mission of LUC and the goals of a Jesuit Catholic Education.
