Overview:

As the Director Office of Facilities and Project Management Division you will:

  • Provide leadership and direction in establishing vision, strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the activities supported by the Division.
  • Plan, develop, and implement vital, productive, forefront programs conducted at DOE laboratories, universities, and other public and private institutions.
  • With available funding, assure adequate financing for the activities within the Division, set priorities for activities, and apportion funding among them. Manage the budget of the Division in accordance with prescribed practices set forth by DOE and the Office of Science.
  • Implement rigorous merit evaluation using independent peer review of all new and ongoing activities supported by the Division in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 605 for the grant program and NP, SC, and DOE Guidelines for the DOE laboratory programs, facilities, and project.
  • Maintain strong, collegial relations with other programs within NP and SC, the DOE field offices, DOE laboratories, academic and other institutions both domestic and foreign, and the broad scientific community. Maintain strong, collegial relations with the DOE technology offices and assess the relevance of the Division’s activities to the missions of the Department.
  • Coordinate the Division’s activities with those of other Federal agencies that play roles in the support of scientific user facilities and attendant research.
  • Represent the Division, the office and DOE in matters pertaining to the portfolio of the Division to professional societies, coordinating committees, task forces, and various other entities.

Qualifications:
